Can you describe your work in five words?
Portable, eccentric, naive, bonkers, simple.
What is your typical process when working?
I am very immediate, if I have an idea I really grab it and it is sometimes conceived, filmed, performed in an hour. I tend to do very few takes when filming my work. I find I am very motivated by an audience. The audience, to me, is a director. I work very closely with the audience, up close and personal.
What is it that attracted you to the Winter Pride UK 2014 Art Awards?
I really loved the website and especially the high energy film from last year that really informed me of the artistic potential. I feel very privileged to have been included. I sense another electric night cometh.
How do you feel your work responds to the brief ‘#Art Is…’
I love to think ART IS….practically anything. Art can be an eyelash on the pillow left by a lover. Art is essentially something inside of you that unravels and if you have a chance to make it portable then art is like your shadow.
Who or what is your biggest inspiration?
Seeing people respond with laughter or tears is my biggest inspiration.
What are you most looking forward to at Winter Pride UK 2014?
I am looking forward to the absolute BUZZ. I know I will feel a sense of unity with the other creatives, truly there is nothing more ecstatic.
